Literature Text

Nobody cries and no one lies
In this land of starry skies
Where golden rivers flow
And destinies unfold.

'twas a time of peace and sun
In this land where golden rivers run
And the child with flaxen hair
Gazed about with dream-cast eyes.

Alas! When the sun was darkened
By a single black cloud; Oh woe is them
Who would forever look in spring's hazel eyes
And did not see winter's cruel blade raised high above their lives.

Wonders torn asunder! Souls united and yet apart;
Such was the course of one - just one! - dismal heart.
The child sees it all with eyes firmly shut
Over open graves the monsters strut.

And now neither cries nor lies are heard
In this land of starless sky
Where flowing shadows stirred
And a child alone gazes the dragon's eye.
Sometimes I just have that urge to write bad poetry...
